Description

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the publication of perennially popular manga The First Step, G- SHOCK has collaborated with renowned manga artist George Morikawa to produce special artwork featuring Ippo Makunouchi and his friends! Each character wears one of 5 differently colored GA-140s on  their wrist. Ippo has spent 30 years aiming to be world boxing champion, while he and his friends continue to uncover the true meaning of "toughness" -but what answers have they come up with? An exhibition of original drafts and color artwork from The  First Step will be held between November 16th (Sat) and December 1st (Sun) on the 6th floor of the Seibu Movida Special Event Space in Shibuya. The collaboration artwork will also be on display! Hajime no Ippo ("The First Step")  is a Japanese boxing manga series written and illustrated by George Morikawa. It has been serialized by Kodansha in WeeklyShōnenMagazine since 1989 and collected in over 126tankōbonto date. It follows the story of high  school student Makunouchi Ippo, as he begins his career in boxing and goes on to compete for the Japanese featherweight class championship title, defeating various opponents along the way.

Features

G-SHOCK, the watch that has been setting the standard for timekeeping toughness since 1983, announces a new collection of analog-digital combination models based on the popular GA Series, but with new face and hand designs.

These new models inherit the big-case designs from the classic GA-100. A motif that resembles a 90's stereo component device or portable music player is updated to a modern refined look while maintaining G-SHOCK level toughness.
